Screw Auger Falls
Gulf Hagus near Brownville Junction in Maine is sometimes referred to as "the Grand Canyon of the East", it is a gorge that contains many beautiful little waterfalls and shares part of the Appalachian Trail just before getting to Katahdin. This is Screw Auger Falls named for the distinctive sculpted shapes due to the incessant flow of the river.
