Bar Harbor, Maine. Acadia National Park, I was out shooting rocks and surf one day this past summer (2011) and I came upon a group of German tourists who were posing on top of this giant granite boulder out in the surf, breathlessly I set up a shot hoping to resemble an apparition of sorts, of a nameless and faceless visitor to the ocean who doesn't even realize how dangerous it is to be there- the waves could have washed her in at any second, but gladly she scampered away unscathed, and after I had made the picture.
