Hi! My name is Nate Parker and I live on Mount Desert Island, home of Acadia National Park in Maine near the popular tourist town of Bar Harbor that some of you may recognize. I first started making photographs of the amazing landscapes and diverse seasonal weather here back in 2000 on a cheap yet all too expensive digital point and shoot camera. Quickly I became obsessed with making imagery and thinking about imagery and looking at imagery. I did all I could to educate myself on the history and styles and trends of the masters and forefathers of photography, which was much more difficult to do then because you had to go to a Library to learn! Therein began my photographic journey. Along the way I've upgraded my kit to pro quality equipment to do the images justice, and the difference that good glass makes is non debatable. I've since spent years focussing on individual photographic concepts like timelapsing, macro photography, night photography, panorama stitching, videography and editing, and now I'm in the midst of an obsession with Black and White imagery coupled with long exposures and with a dash of Tilt-Shift thrown in for good measure. I'm constantly finding new scenes to shoot along the incredibly dynamic coastline of Maine and in Acadia National Park and I'm available for individual or group tours of the island, send me an email at nparker8@gmail.com. Thanks for looking and have a nice day!
